Lake Nona › Lake Whippoorwill - Hart Rural Settlement
The tropical palm trees and the majestic oaks draped with Spanish moss line the roads while horses roam around their stables. Yet, the new modern city of Lake Nona is just around the corner. The Lake Whippoorwill-Hart Rural Settlement was here long before Lake Nona and in a time when Narcoossee was only a 2 land road.
Set between the two lakes from whence it receives its name, this unique area has retained nearly all of its old Florida charm. The majority of the homes here are on large, multi-acre lots, most of which are lakefront. It is not uncommon to see stables in this area as this area is zoned for allowing horses.
As the Lake Whippoorwill-Hart community is a rural settlement, there is no central park or community pool, however, the lots in the community are much larger than typical home sites in the area allowing owners to create their own paradise. In addition, most residents enjoy boating and fishing options as nearly all of the properties back to either Lake Hart or Lake Whippoorwill.
