Nona Arts: Culture & Public Art

JEFRË Lake Nona Town Center Sculpture against the Binary Code parking garage Art is built into Lake Nona. As master developer, Tavistock has made public art part of the community's DNA — dozens of installations across Town Center and the neighborhoods, from world-class sculptures to building-sized murals and digital work.

Here's a guide to what to see, starting with the Sculpture Garden and the community's public art, plus a nod to the wider Orlando arts scene nearby.

The Sculpture Garden

The 50,000-square-foot Lake Nona Sculpture Garden sits behind the Lake Nona Wave Hotel in Town Center — a free, open-to-the-public outdoor gallery that opened in 2022. Winding paths through nearly 300 palm trees lead past works from The Lewis Collection, one of the world's largest private art collections. The display rotates, QR codes by each piece tell its story, and the garden is especially scenic at sunset. Notable works include:

  • Charging Bull — Arturo di Modica · the artist behind Wall Street's famous bull
  • Mother and Child & Upright Motive No. 9 — Henry Moore · monumental bronze forms
  • Leda and the Swan — Fernando Botero · the Colombian master's signature rounded style
  • Cloister Conspiracy & The Don — Philip Jackson, with additional works by Enzo Plazzotta
  • The Baks Series (Faith, Empowerment, Time & Passion) — JEFRË, the internationally known artist based locally in Lake Nona

Public Art & Murals

Beyond the garden, art turns up throughout the community — on garages, chiller plants, and apartment walls:

  • The Glass House — Tom Fruin · Laureate Park, near Canvas Restaurant & Market · a luminous stained-glass-style sculpture built from reclaimed materials
  • JEFRË Town Center Sculpture — a 35-foot mirror-polished stainless-steel figure whose fractal surface echoes Lake Nona's waves, welcoming visitors to Town Center
  • Prismatic Mural — Carissa Bloemeke · a chiller plant reimagined as a deconstructed prism in more than 20 hues
  • DNA Garage Mural — citrus-grove helixes that morph into sports imagery, near the Lake Nona Performance Club
  • Brain Freeze — Carissa Bloemeke · a 9,000-sq-ft mural on the Pixon apartments
  • Angel Wings — Colette Miller's Global Angel Wings Project · a photo-favorite in Town Center
  • Lake Nona West Murals — 30 new murals by studio Chalk & Brush at the Lake Nona West center (debuting 2026)

Arts Experiences & Events

  • Lake Nona Arts Festival — annual winter event
  • Self-Guided Art Tour — scan the QR code beside any installation to learn the artist and story behind the piece
  • Art After Dark — evenings at the Sculpture Garden when lighting and projection bring the space to life
