Q: What annual events happen in Lake Nona?

In calendar order: the Lake Nona Art Festival in February, Nona Festival in March at the USTA National Campus, Taste of Nona in May, the Great American Block Party on the Saturday before the Fourth of July, the Run Nona 5K in the fall, Oktoberfest on the last Saturday of September, Graveyard Smash in late October, and Oh, What Fun! in December.

Lake Nona runs eight annual community events, from the Lake Nona Art Festival in February to the Oh, What Fun! holiday festival in December, plus weekly markets, bar nights and free yoga and meditation classes. Most are free and open to the public.

The exceptions are worth knowing: Taste of Nona is ticketed and 21 and over only, the Run Nona 5K has an entry fee, visits at Santa’s Cottage during Oh, What Fun! are ticketed, the Mixology Mixer is 21 and over, and Morning Meditation is listed as free for Lake Nona community members. Confirm details on the official calendar before heading out.

Does Lake Nona have Fourth of July fireworks?

No. Lake Nona celebrates with the free Great American Block Party at Lake Nona Town Center on the Saturday before the Fourth, which has closed with a laser light show in recent years. For fireworks on July 4 itself, you need to leave Lake Nona.
