What's actually at Lake Nona Town Center in 2026, how it grew from one office building and two hotels, and why it is becoming Lake Nona's biggest employment center.

Lake Nona Town Center is a 100-acre district developed by Tavistock Development Company along SR 417 at Lake Nona Boulevard, in Orlando's 32827 ZIP code. Its first buildings, a dual-branded Courtyard and Residence Inn, opened in November 2015, and the first phase of offices, shops and a parking garage opened in January 2016. The 234-room Lake Nona Wave Hotel opened on December 20, 2021, and the 130,000-square-foot Lake Nona Performance Club opened in August 2021. In 2025 Siemens Energy signed a lease for more than 242,000 square feet of office space at Town Center, with the move due by 2027. Laureate Park is the neighborhood next door, and Medical City adjoins the district.
Lake Nona Town Center is the closest thing Lake Nona has to a downtown: restaurants, two hotel complexes, a members' athletic club, public art and a growing cluster of office buildings, all around Lake Nona Boulevard and the 417. Tavistock, the master developer of Lake Nona, has built it in phases since 2015.
It is not a shopping center in the usual sense. Most of Lake Nona's stores are on Narcoossee Road and at Lake Nona West; Town Center is where people go to eat, stay, work out, look at art and, increasingly, go to work. This guide reflects the district as it stands in September 2026.

Where can you eat and drink at Lake Nona Town Center?
Chroma, Park Pizza & Brewing, Boxi Park and the Wave Hotel's restaurants are the main draws, with a handful of smaller spots around them.
- Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen: the district's first restaurant, open since September 2016.
- Park Pizza & Brewing: pizza and house-brewed beer at 6941 Lake Nona Boulevard.
- Boxi Park: an outdoor food park built from shipping containers, with several vendors and a bar.
- Lake Nona Wave Hotel: BACÁN, Nami, Garni Cafe, The Nectar Room and the Living Room Bar.
- Also here: Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine, Taco Tempo, Before It Melts and a Starbucks at Lake Nona Boulevard and Veterans Way.
What is there to do at Lake Nona Town Center besides eat?
The Performance Club, the Sculpture Garden, the Beacon and the Wave Hotel's events are the main attractions.
- Lake Nona Performance Club: a 130,000-square-foot members' athletic club with climbing, pools and a mind-body center.
- Lake Nona Sculpture Garden: a free, 50,000-square-foot outdoor gallery beside the Wave Hotel, including Arturo di Modica's Charging Bull.
- The Beacon and Code Wall: a six-story digital sculpture by JEFRË and a dichroic-glass garage facade carrying binary-coded messages.
- Weekly events at the Wave Hotel, including Wine Down and the Mixology Mixer.
Is Lake Nona Town Center a place to shop?
Only lightly: Town Center has salons and services but few stores, and Lake Nona's main shopping is on Narcoossee Road and at Lake Nona West.
Service tenants include Ivory Salon and The Master Barber Experience, and One Performance Plaza has ground-floor retail space. There is no grocery store in the district. For groceries, the closest Publix stores are at Lake Nona Creekside and Lake Nona Plaza. For big-box shopping, residents go to Lake Nona West or Lake Nona Landing.
Why is Lake Nona Town Center becoming an office hub?
Siemens Energy's 2025 lease for more than 242,000 square feet, reported as Orlando's largest office lease since 2009, brings roughly 3,000 employees to Town Center by 2027.
Siemens Energy is moving into the building at 6876 Marwick Lane. It joins earlier headquarters moves by dnata USA and InnovaCare Health. The Town Center office buildings are WELL-certified, a standard focused on occupant health, rather than LEED. For homeowners nearby, a major employer within a short drive is a reason for steady housing demand.
What has changed at Lake Nona Town Center, and what never happened?
Several plans announced years ago never arrived, and one nearby attraction has closed.
- Cinépolis, a nine-screen luxury cinema, was announced in 2018 for a 2020 opening. We found no sign it ever opened, and it is not on current tenant lists.
- Bulla Gastrobar was reported in 2016 as considering Lake Nona but never opened here; its Central Florida restaurant is in Winter Park.
- Drive Shack, just north of the 417 on Lake Nona Boulevard and outside Town Center proper, closed permanently in June 2026.
- The Wave Hotel and the Performance Club, both opened in 2021, are the largest additions since the first phase.
Pros, Cons and Our Take
Pros
- The most concentrated dining and nightlife in Lake Nona, within walking distance.
- Free public art, including the Sculpture Garden and the Beacon.
- A growing employment base that supports nearby home values.
Cons
- Little everyday shopping and no grocery store.
- Several announced attractions, including a cinema, never arrived.
- The Performance Club is membership-based, so its best facilities aren't open to casual visitors.
Our Take
Town Center has turned out differently from the early brochures. The cinema and some of the retail never came, but the hotels, the Performance Club and now Siemens Energy have made it a real center of activity. For buyers, that matters more than a longer store list: it is where Lake Nona eats out, where visitors stay, and increasingly where people work.
What the Neighbors Know
If you live in Laureate Park, Town Center is your downtown, a walk or short ride away. From Gatherings at Lake Nona it's a short drive, and from Isles of Lake Nona and Summerdale Park it's a couple of miles. Most residents use it for dinner, the Wave Hotel's weekly events and visiting friends at the hotels. For groceries and errands, see our Lake Nona shopping guide.
