Close to Everything in Orlando

The Lake Nona area is located in the Southeast corner of Orlando.  It is Approx 20 minutes from downtown Orlando and 30 minutes from Cocoa Beach. 

In the Beginning

Long before this area was know as Lake Nona, most of the land off of Narcoossee Road was rural farmland.  There were a few homes located out in the Isle of Pines and Lake Whippoorwill-Hart areas but not much else.  That all changed when the 417 Greenway was built opening the area up to development.  

Major Development

When the Tavistock group purchased 7,000 acres of land on the West side of Narcoossee Road they put into development a master plan that would create an economic powerhouse in Orlando.  The Lake Nona Golf and Country Club was built and became a popular residents from some of today's most well know professional golfers and athletes. Four new neighborhoods were developed: Northlake Park, Water's Edge, Village Walk and Laureate Park along with two shopping centers and the Medical City area which will not only include major hospital and medical research facilities but a massive outdoor shopping complex and the Laureate Park neighborhoods.

Golfer's Paradise

Just about anyone who has ever picked up a golf club and taken a swing has heard of the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, but this area is also home to two other beautiful, championship quality Golf Course Communities in Lake Nona.  Looking to walk out of your back door and on to the fairway?  The take a look at the Eagle Creek Golf Club and the NorthShore at Lake Hart Golf Community.  Both feature challenging courses and beautifully landscaped communities.

The Lake Nona Schools are regularly top rated schools in Orange county and Lake Nona High Schools Collegiate Programs allows students to take classes that will count as college credit so that they could graduate college with an AA degree from Valencia.
