A small-sided indoor soccer center with toddler classes, adult leagues, pickup games and a bar that overlooks the fields
Sofive Lake Nona is an indoor, air-conditioned soccer center at 12314 Suttner Ave, Orlando, FL 32827, off Narcoossee Road south of SR-417. It has two boarded soccer fields with 5G artificial turf and two multi-use hard courts for futsal and volleyball. The center was known as XL Soccer World until Sofive, a soccer-center operator partly owned by Manchester City's parent company, City Football Group, acquired the XL chain in 2024. Youth programs cover ages 18 months to 12 years, including Lil' Kickers classes, house and club leagues, camps and birthday parties. Adults can join leagues, drop into pickup games or rent fields and courts, and the center has a café, a full bar and a function room.
If you knew this place as XL Soccer World, it's the same building off Narcoossee Road with a new name. What changed is the operator, and what didn't change is the format: small-sided games on boarded turf, indoors, out of the Florida heat and rain.
Earlier write-ups, including a previous version of this one, described a full-size arena and outdoor pitches. Sofive Lake Nona has neither. Here's what is actually inside and who it suits in Lake Nona.
What is Sofive Lake Nona?
Sofive Lake Nona is a fully indoor soccer center with two boarded turf fields and two multi-use courts, built for small-sided games rather than full 11-a-side play.

Boarded fields keep the ball in play, so games are faster and more touches-heavy than outdoor soccer. That suits young players learning the game and adults who want a hard hour of exercise more than a full match.
What happened to XL Soccer World in Lake Nona?
Sofive acquired the XL Soccer World chain in 2024, and the Lake Nona center now operates as Sofive Lake Nona.
Sofive runs indoor soccer centers across the U.S. and is partly owned by City Football Group, the owner of Manchester City. The 2024 deal added XL's indoor venues and travel clubs, including the Orlando City Soccer School in Lake Nona and F.C. America Florida. Old links to xlnona.com no longer work; bookings now run through Sofive's website.
The building and location carried over; the branding, booking platform and youth programs are now Sofive's.
What youth soccer programs does Sofive Lake Nona offer?
Sofive Lake Nona runs Lil' Kickers classes for ages 18 months to 9 years, plus house leagues, club leagues, tournaments, school-break camps and birthday parties up to age 12.
| Bunnies | 18–24 months, with a parent |
|---|---|
| Thumpers | 2–3 years, with a parent |
| Cottontails | 2½–3½ years, with a parent |
| Hoppers and Jackrabbits | 3–4 years |
| Big Feet | 5–6 years |
| Micro classes | 4–9 years |
Lil' Kickers classes meet weekly for 50 minutes, and the youngest groups have a parent on the field. The center offers a free trial class. Camps run during school breaks for ages 6 to 12; Sofive does not post camp prices, so ask when you book.
House leagues, club leagues and tournaments continue up to age 12, so a child can move from classes into team play without changing facilities.
Can adults play at Sofive Lake Nona?
Yes. Adults can join soccer leagues, drop into pickup games, or rent a field or court for their own group.
Evening hours on weekdays, from 4 p.m. to midnight, are built around adult schedules. The two hard courts can also be rented for futsal, volleyball or pickleball. Book everything through Sofive's online platform, where you choose a time and pick from the fields available.
After a game, the lounge has a full bar and seating that looks over the fields, and video replay technology lets you watch your own highlights. The function room seats 60, or splits into three rooms of 20 for parties and team events.
Where is Sofive Lake Nona?
Sofive Lake Nona is at 12314 Suttner Ave, off Narcoossee Road less than a mile south of SR-417.
It is near Valencia College's Lake Nona campus and the Lake Nona Landing shopping center, so practice can double as an errand run.
How does Sofive compare with outdoor soccer in Lake Nona?
Sofive is the indoor, year-round option for small-sided games; for full-size outdoor fields, Lake Nona families use the public parks.
Heroes Community Park has outdoor sports fields near Medical City, and the Lake Nona YMCA runs youth soccer as part of its sports programs. Sofive's advantage is the air conditioning and the schedule: games happen in July heat, in summer storms and after dark.
Pros, Cons and Our Take

- Youth programs start at 18 months.
- Late weekday hours, until midnight, suit adult leagues and pickup.
- A café, full bar and lounge make it easy for parents and spectators to wait.
Cons
- Only two soccer fields, and both are small-sided; this is not a full-size 11-a-side venue.
- League, pickup, class and camp prices are not published.
- Youth programming stops at age 12.
- Weekday hours don't start until 4 p.m.
Our Take
For young kids and for adults who want fast indoor games, Sofive is the most convenient option in Lake Nona. Teenagers and players who want full-size fields should look at club soccer and outdoor programs instead. Book the free Lil' Kickers trial before committing to a season.
What the Neighbors Know
The center sits on the Narcoossee corridor, a short trip from Eagle Creek, Nona Crest, Laureate Park and Laurel Pointe. For families there, weeknight practice doesn't mean a drive across town.
