Where it really is, what it offers, what it costs, and which neighborhoods already get it in their HOA dues

The Lake Nona YMCA Family Center on Northlake Parkway

The Lake Nona YMCA Family Center is at 9055 Northlake Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32827, on the campus of NorthLake Park Community School. It is a 30,000-square-foot YMCA of Central Florida center run in partnership with the school, which lets students stay on campus until 7 p.m. for Y programs. Members get cardio and strength equipment, group exercise classes, an outdoor pool and drop-in child care for ages 6 weeks to 11 years. YMCA of Central Florida memberships start at $35 a month plus a $45 one-time setup fee, with income-based rates available. Northlake Park HOA dues include Lake Nona YMCA membership, and Water's Edge residents also receive it.

Older write-ups, including an earlier version of this one, put the Lake Nona YMCA in Laureate Park near Town Center. It isn't there. The Y sits on Northlake Parkway, sharing a campus with NorthLake Park Community School in Lake Nona.

That location explains most of what makes it useful: a school partnership, a family-priced membership and, for two neighborhoods, a membership that is already paid for through the HOA.
