Since opening its doors in 2021, Innovation High School has embraced its name in both spirit and substance—building an identity rooted in academic excellence, creative problem-solving, and a student-first approach to learning.
Innovation High School was established to help relieve crowding at Lake Nona High School and to serve the families in rapidly developing parts of southeast Orlando. But it quickly became clear that this would be more than just an overflow campus. From its architecture to its course offerings, Innovation High School was designed to be a place where traditional education is elevated by new tools, new strategies, and a deep respect for individual student potential.
The school is located in a fast-growing residential corridor of Lake Nona and sits adjacent to Innovation Middle School, creating a natural academic progression and sense of continuity for families. The campus itself is modern and expansive, featuring clean lines, high ceilings, and an emphasis on open, flexible spaces. Wide hallways double as informal gathering areas, classrooms are equipped with digital learning tools, and collaborative spaces encourage project-based learning and peer connection.
One of the standout features of Innovation High School is its commitment to personalized education pathways. The school offers a variety of academic tracks that allow students to align their coursework with their interests and career goals. Whether a student is interested in pursuing college prep through Advanced Placement (AP) courses, diving into career and technical education (CTE), or working toward dual enrollment through partnerships with local colleges, Innovation High provides structured opportunities for meaningful progress.
The AP program at Innovation High includes core subjects like English, U.S. History, and Environmental Science, as well as advanced electives that allow students to explore deeper topics.
