Where is BurgerFi in Lake Nona?

BurgerFi is in Shoppes at Nona Place, at 13048 Narcoossee Road on the corner of Tyson Road, just south of Lake Nona High School.

Shoppes at Nona Place is anchored by Bravo Supermarkets and also holds Lime Fresh Mexican Grill and First Watch. Tyson's Corner is across Narcoossee Road, so this stretch is one of the denser casual-food clusters in Lake Nona.

Older descriptions online, including an earlier version of this post, placed BurgerFi in Lake Nona Landing. It is not there. Lake Nona Landing is about a mile north on Narcoossee Road, closer to the SR 417 interchange.

What does BurgerFi serve?

BurgerFi serves Angus beef burgers, Wagyu burgers, a vegetarian burger, chicken, hand-cut fries, onion rings and frozen custard shakes.

The brand's pitch is the beef: 100% natural Angus raised without steroids, antibiotics or growth hormones, according to BurgerFi. In 2018 Consumers Union gave BurgerFi an "A" for its antibiotic policy.

The menu runs from a standard double cheeseburger to a Wagyu burger, plus chicken tenders and sandwiches, a veggie option and a kids menu. Fries are hand-cut, onion rings are a signature side, and the custard shakes and "concretes" are the dessert most people order. Draft beer is available at this location.

Who owns BurgerFi now?

BurgerFi is owned by Happy Group, the Detroit-area company behind Savvy Sliders, after the chain was sold out of Chapter 11 at the end of 2024.

John Rosatti founded BurgerFi in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida, in 2011. The company later went public, bought Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, and filed for Chapter 11 in September 2024, closing a number of underperforming restaurants at the time.

The Lake Nona restaurant was not one of them. Its lender took over the company in the bankruptcy and sold it to the owner of Savvy Sliders in December 2024. BurgerFi now operates as its own brand within that group, with dozens of locations.

Is BurgerFi good for families and takeout?

Yes. BurgerFi has a kids menu, counter ordering that keeps a meal quick, and takeout and delivery for nights at home.

Counter service makes it easy to feed a family without a long sit-down meal, and a burger, fries and a shake is a menu almost every child will eat. Delivery runs through the usual apps, and burgers and custard hold up reasonably well over the short distances to most Lake Nona neighborhoods.

How does BurgerFi compare with Culver's?

BurgerFi is the premium-beef counter; Culver's is the drive-thru with its own frozen custard.

Culver's at Lake Nona Landing, about a mile north on Narcoossee Road, is the closest alternative. It adds a drive-thru and its own frozen custard, which makes it the easier pick when you do not want to get out of the car.

BurgerFi's edge is the beef sourcing and the Wagyu option. If those matter to you, it is the one to choose. If speed matters more, Culver's wins.

It came through the 2024 bankruptcy intact in Lake Nona, the menu is broad enough for a family, and the custard is a reason to go on its own. If you want table service and a bar, look at the casual-dining chains up the road instead.

What the Neighbors Know

For residents of Eagle Creek across Narcoossee and nearby Lake Whippoorwill-Hart, Shoppes at Nona Place is the closest everyday center, and BurgerFi is one of its regular weeknight stops. The same block also handles groceries, coffee and a quick breakfast.
