The Loop is two neighboring shopping centers at John Young Parkway and Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee, FL 34741, about 13 miles from Lake Nona Town Center. The original Loop, at 3208 N John Young Parkway, has about 435,000 square feet anchored by Kohl's and the 16-screen Regal The Loop & RPX. Loop West, on W Osceola Parkway, has about 295,000 square feet anchored by JCPenney, TJ Maxx, Burlington, Ulta and DSW. North American Development Group has owned Loop West since 2014; MetLife bought the original Loop the same year. Trader Joe's has permits for a store at Loop West, its first in Osceola County, with no opening date announced.

The Loop is the closest big shopping destination to Lake Nona that isn't in Lake Nona, and the one you can reach without a toll road. It's really two centers facing each other across the interchange of John Young and Osceola Parkways.

How do you get to The Loop from Lake Nona?

The Loop is about 13 miles from Lake Nona Town Center; take Boggy Creek Road south to Osceola Parkway, then Osceola Parkway west to John Young Parkway.

This route uses surface roads, with no tolls; the Osceola Parkway toll plaza is west of John Young Parkway. The original Loop is at 3208 N John Young Parkway, and Loop West is along W Osceola Parkway. Both are in Kissimmee, 34741, not Orlando.

What stores are at The Loop and Loop West?

The Loop is anchored by Kohl's and a Regal theater; Loop West by JCPenney, TJ Maxx and Burlington.

The Loop has about ten restaurants, and Loop West adds Bonefish Grill and Abuelo's.

The Loop: Chick-fil-A, Chili's, Chipotle, Johnny Rockets, Little Greek, Noodles & Company, K-Pot, PIEnezza, Wendy's and Ben & Jerry's.

Loop West: Bonefish Grill, Abuelo's, Pei Wei and Menchie's.

Cheddar's and Buffalo Wild Wings, which older guides list, are elsewhere on Osceola Parkway, not in either center.

What is changing at The Loop?

Trader Joe's is coming to Loop West, and the former Bed Bath & Beyond at The Loop is still vacant.

  • Trader Joe's filed permits in April 2026 for a 12,500-square-foot store at Loop West, the chain's first in Osceola County. No opening date has been announced.
  • The former Bed Bath & Beyond space at The Loop (about 25,000 square feet) has been empty since 2023; the leasing agent lists it as under negotiation.
  • Target, Best Buy and Marshalls are not at either center; the nearest are elsewhere in Kissimmee.

Who owns The Loop?

The two centers have different owners: MetLife bought the original Loop in 2014, and North American Development Group bought Loop West in 2014 for $52 million.

The Wilder Companies developed both. The original Loop opened in the mid-2000s, and Loop West followed around 2008. Crossman & Company handles leasing at The Loop. MetLife was still the landlord in 2023; we have not found a later sale.

Our Take

The Loop is the practical choice when Lake Nona West doesn't have what you need and you don't want to drive across Orlando. It covers department-store shopping, off-price retail and a movie on a free route. The Trader Joe's, when it opens, will give Lake Nona residents another reason to make the drive.
