Azteca D'Oro is at 10783 Narcoossee Road, Suite 201, upstairs in the Nona Marketplace center on the east side of Narcoossee Road. The Lake Nona restaurant opened in September 2021 and is one of nine Azteca D'Oro restaurants in Florida. It is a full-service Mexican restaurant with a full bar, margaritas, booths, high-tops and TVs. There is a daily happy hour, vegetarian options and a kids menu. Azteca D'Oro offers dine-in, takeout, delivery, reservations and catering.

For a sit-down Mexican dinner with a margarita in the middle of Lake Nona, Azteca D'Oro is one of two main choices. It took over the upstairs space at Nona Marketplace in 2021.

Where is Azteca D'Oro in Lake Nona?

Azteca D'Oro is at 10783 Narcoossee Road, Suite 201, upstairs in Nona Marketplace on the east side of Narcoossee Road.

It is not in Lake Nona Landing, despite what an earlier version of this post said. Nona Marketplace also holds Mecatos Bakery & Cafe and Armando's, and sits beside Nona Commons. The restaurant is on the second floor.

What does Azteca D'Oro serve?

Azteca D'Oro serves full-service Mexican food: fajitas, parrillada platters, tacos al pastor, grilled chicken, enchiladas and appetizers such as guacamole.

The menu is broad enough for a group, with vegetarian options and a kids menu with tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas and tenders. Platters such as the parrillada are built for sharing.

The menu changes from time to time, so check the current version before you go.

What is the bar like at Azteca D'Oro?

Azteca D'Oro has a full bar known for margaritas, frozen or on the rocks, plus rum and mezcal cocktails and a daily happy hour.

Fruit margaritas such as mango and passion fruit are a signature. The bar area has high-tops and TVs, which makes it a casual place for a drink as well as dinner.

Is Azteca D'Oro part of a chain?

Azteca D'Oro is a Florida group with nine restaurants, including Orlando, Winter Garden, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Brandon and Wesley Chapel.

The Lake Nona restaurant opened in September 2021. The group offers catering, reservations, a rewards program and an app.

How does Azteca D'Oro compare with Don Julio?

Both are full-service Mexican restaurants with full bars; Azteca D'Oro is in the middle of Narcoossee Road, Don Julio is on the south end at Eagle Creek.

Don Julio Mexican Kitchen at Eagle Creek Center adds a ceviche bar, a tequila focus and a patio. For a quicker meal, several fast-casual Mexican counters are also on Narcoossee Road.

Choose whichever is closer for a weeknight; for margaritas on a patio, Don Julio has the edge, and for an upstairs dining room with the game on, Azteca D'Oro.
