So many great golf communities are found throughout the Orlando area. Part one of this post featured some of the top choices, while the second part will expand on the many great options. If you prefer a golf community to call home, here are a few more excellent options.
A community located in the Southeast of Orlando, Eagle Creek is close to the Airport, shopping, dining and plenty of major highways. It's a semi-private golf club with a par-73 course. The homes are rather amazing with spec homes and vacant lots available.
The community is gated and when finished, Eagle Creek will include shopping, a hotel and an elementary school. Residents can even enjoy biking and hiking trails found throughout the community.
Golden Oak is found at Walt Disney World Resort and provides luxury and privacy for residents. It's a newer gated community with multiple neighborhoods found throughout. Golden Oak provides a private clubhouse with an 18-hole golf course, restaurants and a spa.
Found on the southern side of Orlando, Hunter's Creek provides a great location close to major business areas in Orlando. It's close to companies, such as Tupperware, martin Marietta and Harris. The community is also close to the airport and not far from downtown.
Found near the central area of Orlando, Orange Tree provides a gated country club community with plenty to offer. The course was designed by Joe Lee and provides tree-lined fairways, fast greens and plenty of doglegs. Bermuda grass is used throughout the course and the finishing holes are rather amazing.
Those seeking resort-style living will love Reunion Resort. It features three 18-hole courses for golfers to enjoy one of each designed by golf legends Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson. Reunion is also home to the Annika Sorenstam Academy.
An east side of Orlando community, Stoneybrook East provides a convenient location for those commuting to downtown or the UCF area. It's a top section of the city for technology companies and plenty of choices, such as Siemens and Lockheed Martin are nearby. The area is also close to many biking and hiking trails.
A western Orlando community in Winter Garden, Stoneybrook West provides a great location close to the 429 Beltway. The community is close to attractions and downtown with homes found around an 18-hole golf course.
Sweetwater Golf & Country Club
Found very close to Wekiva Springs State Park in Apopka, Sweetwater Golf & Country Club is a private, gated community. The club offers golf, tennis, fine dining and more. The course is known as the Highlands Course and provides a challenging layout for all golfers to enjoy.
A very desirable northern Orlando location found in Lake Mary, Timacuan is a great choice if you love golf. It's close to Sanford, the Seminole Town Center Mall and I-4. The course also provides one of the better practice ranges and areas in the surrounding Orlando area.
Found in Winter Springs, Tuskawilla provides a great setting with beautiful trees full of Spanish moss. It has a feel of the old south and an eclectic mix of large million dollar estates, condos and villas.
With so many great golf course communities throughout Orlando, it may be difficult to choose the right one. You really cannot go wrong with any on this list or the list from Part 1.
